Prayer Life - Part II
Jesus prayed regularly when He was on earth. Even to this day, Jesus continues to pray for His children while He sits at the right hand of His Father. He is praying and making intercession on your behalf right now. Romans 8:34 says: “…Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.” So, if Jesus prays, then it is important that we pray on a daily basis. In this three-part devotional series, I am sharing ways that Jesus prayed so that we can meditate on God’s Word and learn to pray just like Jesus…
--Jesus prayed prayers of thanks. Mark 14:22 reads: “As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, Take it, for this is my body.”
--Jesus prayed praising God, the Father. Luke 10:21 says: “At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.”
