In order to move forward, we must have a desire to move closer to Jesus.  We read in the Bible in Philippians 3:14 where the Apostle Paul says: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”  We read over and over in the Bible where Paul learned from failures and celebrated on his successes.  Paul clearly showed that he was only interested in forward progress.

We see a picture of Paul using a runner to move forward.  He was running for the prize knowing Jesus face-to-face.  One thing we must do as Christians is to keep moving forward in our relationship with Jesus.  We must have a desire to know Him more and more as our life goes on.  The best way to do this is to put the past behind us and move forward. 

God has a calling and purpose in each of our lives.  If we just sit still and don’t move forward, we miss the mark of the high calling.  We must move forward pursuing that purpose.  Perhaps there is something in your life from the past that is keeping you from moving ahead.  Remember what Jesus did for you on the Cross and move forward!  Today is your opportunity.  Amen!
