It is very important for us to understand the key to victory is God’s Spirit indwelling within us. Ephesians 5:18 says: “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit;” This is God’s provision to overcome the sin problem in our own individual lives.

Did you know that being “filled with the Spirit” is an act of our will? We are not be filled with the Spirit if we feel like it, we are being commanded to be filled by God. Every single believer has the ability to choose to be filled and allow God to reign in their lives.

We should never take a break in life from continually allowing God’s Spirit to fill us. It is God’s will that we are filled with His Spirit. Take time out today to ask God to fill you with His Spirit. Allow Him to be Master over your mind, your heart, and your body! Amen!
