Soul Winning!
Some people may ask the question where the idea of soul winning comes from. There is a verse in the Bible in Proverbs 11:30 that says, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that winneth souls is wise."
We have been commanded by the Lord to go out and tell people about Jesus. Jesus Himself said "go" and teach all nations in Matthew 28:19. The reason we should be telling people about Jesus is to be obedient to the command of our loving Savior.
My number one ambition in life is to share the good news of Jesus with people in our community and across this globe. That is what inspired me in 2010 to start His Vision Ministries. The purpose of this ministry is just to share the knowledge and tools that God has gifted me with in helping equip people to know more about Jesus.
Jesus died and bled for me at Calvary and I want to be certain to respond to His great love and be obedient to Him by taking the gospel message to lost sinners who need to be saved. I realized when I was just 15 years old that I needed to be saved and today there are many still living in this world that need to be saved.
My prayer is that God will help us to understand that this is His command. We have a responsibility to tell people about Jesus. We can't just pass this responsibility to others. Anyone who claims to be a believer is responsible and should be obedient to Christ and say, I'm going to be a soul winner. Amen!
