The only person that knows the future is God. It is foolish to set goals or make decisions without consulting God first because He is the only one that knows the future. If God is the only One who knows the future, then He is the only one that can guide you through life's decisions.

As Christians, we must go to God first and say, "God since You know what's going to happen and You've got the future in mind, would You help me set goals and guide me and speak to me as I pray for direction?" We ought to be praying for direction and asking for a God-give vision and then setting God-given goals to match that vision. Amen!

Proverbs 16:1:  "We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer." Proverbs 16:9 "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps."
Proverbs 19:21 "You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail."
