Perseverance!

From The Heart of Pastor Shane (January 8, 2019)

This week has started off with problem after problem. On Sunday morning I tried to reach out to a beloved sister and sent a messge to the wrong person and received a cursing. On my way home from church I stopped to pump gas and the handle had an issue and sprayed gas all over my pants. This morning I was involved in a major accident. However, by trusting in God and His promises, I still praise Him through the storms of life.

When the pressure of a problem begins to weigh in upon you, rather than giving up and caving in, what you need is perserverance and endurance that allows you to carry on inspite of your issues. To persevere means that we will go on through that which is severe.

We have all received enough of the grace of God to make us want to go on in spite of problems we must face in this life, but we need patience to do this. James 1:3 reads, "“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” Amen!
