On Empty!

From The Heart of Pastor Shane (February 26, 2019)

Do you ever just seem like you are stuck in the mud and you're running on empty? God knows what to do when you are feeling empty. II Chronicles 16:9 reads: "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him."

God is looking around this earth looking at hearts of people who belong to Him. Most people will turn to everybody but God. We will go search everything we can, but not God's Word. We will take all of the advice we can, but not God's advice. It's like God is not even and the picture and is forgotten about in most situations.

I recall going on a church trip one time and as I observed, not one time on the trip did the group leader stop to pray or seek God's providence and protection for the trip. The entire trip appeared to only about fun and games and never about what God expected. Has God been forgotten? Perhaps that is why you are so empty. Perhaps God is not in the picture of your life and has been placed on the back burner.

We live each day only expecting small blessings when God is willing to give us huge blessings. God is waiting for us to remove barriers in our lives and focus on Him and His will for our lives. When life is so empty, we need to turn to God and rely on His strength to fill our lives. God is at work and He has a plan to deal with every problem that comes into our lives. Are you willing to trust and obey? Friend, there is no other way. God cal fill that empty void in your life if you call upon His name first. Amen!
