The Lord Is Our Blesser!

From The Heart of Pastor Shane (January 31, 2019)

In Exodus 17:8 we read, "Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim." Amalek was the grandson of Esau. Amalek represents the flesh; not necessary a physical flesh, but the sin nature that we are all born with that causes us to do bad when we should be doing good.

Friend, the devil is an enemy that each of us should be aware of, but that may not be our greatest enemy. Many times we give the devil too much credit. The greatest enemy that each of us have is the flesh. The devil cannot get to us except through the flesh. Paul wrote, "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." When you become a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, your battle begins!

For the Christian, we must realize that the Lord is our blesser. When we get saved, we become receipients to the blessings of almighty God. Write this down, battles always follow blessings. To face the enemy, fight the battles and wage the war keeps us vigilant and strong as we move from blessings to battle. AMEN!
