Do you realize that Jesus died so that God would be just in dealing with sin? God's mercy was deferred payment for thousands of years and was passed over by the blood of goats and sheep that were a temporary sacrifice for all of humanities sin. Gods justice demands payment and it was His mercy that deferred that payment in the Old Tesatment times.

We must realize that someone has to pay for ous sins. It was God's grace that made that payment for each of us. Being a good person, religion, or doing rituals will not take care of this. Jesus Christ dying on the Cross is what took care of our sins.

Romans 3:25 says: "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
