Come Into His Presence!

From The Heart of Pastor Shane (September 20, 2019)

Those who have put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ have a standing invitation to walk into the very throne room of the King of Kings who created and runs this universe.  God wants to have a relationship with us that is personal, but to have this relationship, we must remove any barriers that come into our lives.

In Psalm 100 the Psalmist gives us several things that will bring us into the presence of the King any time we desire.  Psalm 100:1 says: “Make a joyful noise.”  Real worship involves shouting, serving, and singing.  Are you glad to see God when you come into His presence?

Psalm 100:2 goes on to read: “Serve the Lord with gladness.”  We cannot worship God until we get involved in serving God.  God doesn’t need anybody serving Him to make them happy.  We need to serve God to make us happy.

Psalm 100:3 tells us: “Know ye that the Lord he is God.”  We must realize that there is only one God and that God is the Lord.

Psalm 100:4 says:  “Enter His gates with thanksgiving.”  If anyone on planet earth ought to be thankful, it ought to be people who claim to be God’s children.  As Christians everyday ought to be Thanksgiving.

Psalm 100:5: “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”  The bottom line is that God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

You had better make sure that all barriers are removed and that you are “close and personal” with this God who not only made you, but wants to connect with you and keep you in His presence.  Amen!
