Troubled Heart!

From The Heart of Pastor Shane (February 4, 2019)

Have you ever had one of those days where everything goes wrong?  No matter what you try, it just seems that everything backfires on you?  Perhaps the harder you try, the worse it gets.  We have all had days like that before.  The good news is that Jesus gives us an answer for a troubled heart.

In John 14, Jesus says “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”  We are taught in the Bible that the things we can see are only temporary.  As we look through the mirror and see ourselves aging, we realize our own bodies are temporary also.  One thing we must realize as Christians is that Jesus makes a promise that He will always be with us.  He says “He will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Are you trusting Jesus and His presence today?  If you believe in Jesus a part of you is already in Heaven.  If you have put your faith in Jesus, your name is already written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  The God we serve is there.  That is where our inheritance is.  One day we will all be there in our Father’s house where we will receive new bodies and will not have to worry about aging.

The question remains, is your heart troubled?   Are you trusting Jesus?  Jesus says to “Trust in Me.”  No matter what you are going through in life, you must trust in the fact that Jesus is there.  We must trust in His promises and remember that if you trust in Jesus you will not get lost.  He will take you by the hand and lead and guide you each step of the way.  Amen!
