There's Coming A Day!

From The Heart of Pastor Shane (June 14, 2019)

Friends, we are living in a time of great darkness.  We are living in a day where there is much wickedness and people will do just about anything.  Many things that are taken place on this planet that are evil in the Lord’s sight.  Our churches have entered into a time of complete persecution and trouble.  Some churches, such as ours is condemned because we preach against sin just as the Bible teaches.  There is only one word to describe what is coming and it is PAYDAY!

Galatians 6:7 says: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”  Payday is coming, but it hasn’t arrived here yet.  In other words, judgment has not yet come from God.  What we are seeing today is not judgment as some would seem to think, it is the consequences of sin.  We must realize that the Bible teaches that not one sin will go unpunished.  Romans 2:5 says: “But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasureth up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God."

Yes, God is a God of love, but He is also a righteous God who demands judgment.  This may seem like a hell, fire, and brimstone devotional, but praise be to God that He loves us no matter what darkness we may be going through in this life.  There is coming a day where there will be no more sickness or sorrow.  The darkness of this old world flee.  Today is the day unto salvation.  There is coming a day where those who have trusted Jesus will be set free from the darkness of this old world.

We must go through a few more valleys in this old life.  We still will have some dark times to go through.  But praise be to God, there is coming a day and what a day that will be!  Amen!
