Hosea 6:3 says:  “Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” 

We are living in a time where we have become desserts spiritually.  We have a need for rain from heaven.  We need a complete downpour of revival in our individual lives, in our churches, in our nation.  What I mean by revival, is we need a work of God, allowing Him to restore and pour down a heavenly rain of blessings.

The reason we are not seeing this rain is described in 2 Chronicles 6:26: “When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee…”  When we refuse to obey God’s commands, we turn off the blessings He gives us.  Many times we want people to see what kind of Christian person we are, but our hearts have been removed from God.

God can still send the spiritual rain that is needed.  2 Chronicles 7:14 gives us the prescription on how to enable this rain.  The Bible says: “If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  The conditions for this rain are: humility; prayer; longing for God; and repentance.  Amen!
