Every sin has “I” at the center.  In Luke 9:23 the Bible reads: 23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  Anyone who is living for self is not truly following Jesus. 

Many people never get to a point where they realize that the cost to be counted is giving up everything for Jesus.  Most people are so caught up with money and possessions they miss the demands and joy of being a true follower and disciple for Christ. 

The bottom line according to God’s Word is that we must get self out of the way to let Christ have His way in our lives.  God’s grace is not license to do as we please – it is liberty to please God.  We must put aside a personal pride.  Just like sin, “I” is the center of pride.  Amen!
