Have you been stuck in a situation before and you just didn't know what to do? Let me ask you, do you pray before you make a decision? The Bible has an answer to this problem. In James 1:5 we read, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

I am amazed at how many people will walk up to me and say, Pastor, let's do this or let's try that. My very quick response always is, "have you prayed about?" Most people will always try to figure out everything without consulting God. Most people will typically pray for wisdom after they have already made up their mind to do something that has gone south and the only place to turn at that point is toward God.

When you're stuck in a situation and you have to choose what to do in that given situation, pray for wisdom. We need a certain kind of wisdom so that our troubles can become an opportunity for joy. PRAY FOR WISDOM! Amen!
