According to the dictionary, doubt is “a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction.”  Many people experience doubt in their lives.  The solution for doubt in our lives is faith.  Romans 10:17 reads: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  God gave us His Word in the Bible so that we can trust Him and not live with doubt.

Anyone who doubts God or His word cannot say, “It is well” when the “sorrows like sea billows roll.” That rolling is all they know, because they have never decided to fully trust God. 

James 1:5-8 reads: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”  Amen!
